Day 4 of #5DaysofFall is heeeere!! If you haven’t yet seen the other 3 days, go check them out! There’s a Trader Joe’s shopping list for allll the fall items, 2 autumn recipes, and some free fall themed wallpapers!
Today we’re going home! To your home. I’m gonna give you 8 simple ways to get your place in the fall spirit! Each of these ideas can be less than $15, but I’m not limiting you on how hard you want to party. U do U!
And I promise up front you don’t need to go full-on orange pumpkin mode.
Lets. Do. Dis.
- Swap out your kitchen towels. I keep a decorative dish towel (or two) draped over my oven handle all year long – you’d be surprised how much of a difference it makes to switch out the towel! Home Goods has a lot of fall-themed options that are less than $8, and I’m confident that you can find one that meets your stylistic preferences! I opted for this cute little deer towel from Anthropologie.
- Get new hand soaps. If you’re used to citrusy hand soaps, swap it out for a fall scent! You’ll brighten up those bathrooms and kitchen sinks with all those apple orchards and cinnamon sticks.
- Switch out your floral arrangements. If you normally have some faux flowers or greenery, swap it out for the season with something different! Cotton branches, colored leaves, or burgundy and coral blooms will add great touches to your space.
- Wreath up your front door. Even if you usually have a wreath year-round, this is just one of those “holiday-feeling” items. Get some golden leaves up in there and weave in some branches from a Trader Joe’s cinnamon broom (see previous post) to make it smell divine.
- Buy a pepper plant! I know mums and pumpkins are all the rage, but these cute little pepper plants are just as festive! And I love the array of colors they come in!
- Okay, okay. Buy a pumpkin. I have to say, I’m not a huge fan of orange pumpkins, but seeing some peachy and light green versions has changed my mind a little bit! I like adding tiny fall pieces around the house, so I’ve opted for some mini white pumpkins, and they add the perfect touch! And I’m pretty sure they were 60 cents, so there’s that.
- Switch out your standard throw blankets/pillows. I found some great plaid throw blankets under $14 at Hobby Lobby, surprisingly! You’ll be surprised at how much it switches up a room!
- Turn your mirrors into fall art. Instead of a chalkboard, use a liquid chalk marker on a mirror and put a holiday message on it! You’re getting a free piece of fall art.
Let me know which ideas you try!
