Most of us have heard of Minimalism. It’s the design style of open spaces, simple color palettes, and large statement artwork. In the age of Pinterest, this style gained a lot of traction as everyone was trying to make their spaces feel high-end and maybe a little Scandinavian.
Maximalism, on the other hand, is a less tossed around term, but just as many people tend to favor this eclectic style. It goes by a lot of different names – boho and grandmillennial can even fall into this. Maximalism loves an abundance of color, curated collections, and diversity of textures.
I this sounds a little extreme to you, not to worry. In tonight’s video, I’m talking through these two design styles and how to take the best of both of them and combine them into a balanced style.
