Happy Spring! If you’re anything like me, you’ve been feeling the gardening inspiration lately. I’ve planted some herbs and done some composting lately, and it’s gotten me wanting to do more!
But let’s be real. You know what isn’t cute? The prices at all of the gardening stores! It’s wild how much everything has gone up in price recently. So we’re going to approach the veggie garden a little bit differently – and that’s by propagating!
There are videos all over the internet of how to propagate different veggie scraps, and I’ve been taking them all in. Since we’ve been composting, I’ve already been saving all the fruit and veggie discards that we’ve been cooking with. So while the peels and rinds head into the compost bucket, I’m setting all the seeds aside to dry out so that we can plant them!
This week, I decided to clear out our patio area and make a little station for all the propagation to take place. I wanted a space to dry out the seeds, a spot to start the potting process, and a place for the seedlings to sprout!
Check out this week’s video as we make a patio propagation station (and see some things start growing!!)
