I don’t know about you, but I love flowers and plants all around my home. It’s always a treat to have fresh flowers, but the pain is trying to keep them alive and beautiful.
Over some years of trial and error, I’ve compiled a list of my trustiest flowers and plants that will still come in clutch months and years past when they were cut. And you don’t need any special skills to dry them out well.
Let’s dive in to some of my tried and true florals and foliage!
Lavender. This one will look (and smell) great forever! Use it to decorate a bathroom or a bed stand to give it a relaxing feel.
Baby’s Breath. These bad boys are super cheap and dry out *so* well. Plus, for a little razzle dazzle, spray paint them another color that makes them stand out and pop them anywhere.
Eucalyptus. At the end of the day, anything with a “woodier” stem will last the longest! Use eucalyptus in a wreath, above your shower head, or in a vase on the bookshelf.
Pampas Grass. Or anything close to this! You might find these popular stems growing out in the yard or on the side of the road. Chop a few down and let them air out for maximum fluffage. Use them as a statement piece anywhere – on a dresser, a fireplace, or a big centerpiece.
Ornamental Grasses. Along the same lines of pampas grass, these fluffy grasses are super easy to throw in a vase for something pretty.
Fan Palm Leaves. These are just super cool! You might find super big pieces or some smaller ones, but they’ll add a great touch to any modern space. If you have trouble with the palm fans drying without bending, cut them into a spade shape with some scissors! Plus, these look super cool when spray painted matching colors with a vase.
Craspedia. If you’ve never heard of this before – it’s the cute yellow ball flowers! These dry out great and add a quirky touch to any arrangement.
Protea. Again, if you haven’t heard this name before, chances are you’ve still seen this! These are super epic, big succulent-looking blooms. They dry out super easily and make a great statement piece!
Hope you guys enjoy this list! I love a good trusty flower that I can use and enjoy for years to come!
