[ m a k e ] :: detoxifying bath salt recipe

I get it. You’re either a bath person or you’re not. But you probably should be.

No lie, somehow we got into watching videos about the habits of highly successful people and found out that most of them TAKE BATHS!! Their premise is that it’s an important key to unwinding from the day and being distraction-free.

I can’t say that this is part of my daily routine, but it is a treat! And so in honor of both high achievers and treats, here’s a recipe for EASY and cost effective dreamy bath salts!

What you’ll need:

  • Jar with a lid (I used an old Anthropologie candle and scooped out the remaining wax! – ps, if you do this, save the wax!!)
  • Dried flower petals (I used my last peonies of the season!)
  • Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salts (I used coconut!)
  • Essential oils of your choice

Now, for the easiest steps ever…

Fill up your jar with epsom salt.

Stir in flower petals.

Add 10 or so drops of essential oil and stiiirrrr it up!

Side note, I blended stress away + lavender with the coconut salts and loved it! But some other combos I want to try are lavender + peppermint, lime (with the coconut salts), or orange + grapefruit + geranium!

Have fun making these!
